Yesterday, Abbey had a friend come over. A very fun active friend named Hope.
A couple hours of frolicking and playing joyfully in the back yard was just what they both needed. Some mud, sticks and a couple of toys and life couldn’t be any better for the two of them. So, I decided to go crab the camera and get some shots of the fun.
Nothing fancy, just fun and playfulness.

Here’s #1 Illusion….No not the soft almost out of focus picture…
Now, dosen’t Abbey look like the happiest ever. A great big smile for the camera and everything !!
Little did I know…or could see the details of the reason for the smile.

Illusion #2
As Abbey goes running by, with the proudest of all Lab trots…
Not once did I notice the odd stick in her mouth.
(This is a zoomed in picture)
Until I was downloading the pictures.
Lets take a closer look…..

Oh look at that…It’s my glasses that Abbey has. And they are looking a little broken too.
Can you believe it…I had no idea that’s what she had in her mouth until after I downloaded the pictures.
I am near sighted so I am constantly taking my glasses off, even more so when I am behind the camera.
The camera strap must have knocked them off my shirt that I always tuck them into.
I did find the mangled frames in the back yard….no fixing them either. lol

Now, Isn’t that the best smile ever…so proud to finally get a hold of my glasses !!!
I no longer will see that innocent smile the same way, in fact she’s saying something in a very teasing kind of way about me.

At least Hope knew better…not to grab the glasses.
Well maybe just more relaxed than usual.

“I’ll just hide out here under the table and pretend to be paying attention, she will be bored and go away”
“I will just sit here looking like I am alert and ready.
Her head gives in, the weight of the sleep takes over and she collapses to the floor.
Oh yeah…life is good.
